Woes of Sch going working adults

Dear Sir & Mdm

Just a note to tell u all know that as u know we are all working adults undertaking currently your course. I would like to bring your attentation to a small trival suggestion. QUIT TAXING US with EXTENSIVE ICAS with UNIVERSITY STANDARDS. As working adults, we don't have the luxury of having ample time on out hands amids juggling work and school( note to all: some of us do have a family. meaning: WE GOT KIDS ranging from infants to school going children* note the pural form of child as this is a response to the governement's promotion of baby bonus*). We attempt to improve ourself academically and yet we are fault by the very same intention. Despite wanting to show our future generation the fact that learning should never stop irregardless of age, we feel quite dissappointed by the interests and expectation from you all.

Students that do not have the burden of managing a family while working and schooling might not feel the agony of trying desperately to keep up with the assignment given. Despite every effort to complete the ICAS or projects given, it's an UPHILL task to keep up with the increasing expectations from you all. We just want a DIPLOMA at this moment of time... not a Degree in thesis writing... of projects of 10 pages and above. ( consider that as a new modules to all the new intakes.... Module: University Thesis writing for Diploma. this will be an extremely popular module as most first years and second year students would want to take it and know how to survive their final year.)

And a little understanding from the management and the teaching staff would be greatly APPRECIATED. Though there are a few educators who understands our plights and makes small gestures to let us know that they do care. There are others, the rotten apples that spoilt the barrels. These bad apples greatly overnumbers the good ones, making every little good gesture seem furtile. Quote from one bad apple was: " Class is from 7pm after U all knock off from work. Dinner is supposed to be before that and it's UR problem to solve if Ur not able to have dinner before that" HELLO!!!! Class dn't end untill 10pm sometime it might even end later than that. There are people who knocks off from work at 6 & 6.30pm... and they have to travel to school... what are those people supposed to do? Eat in the MRT??( there is a fine from eating in the public transports and in Cabs, the driver would mostly likely to tell to stop eating as well... and how in god's name do u eat in a moving vehicle??) And those words coming from a highly educated person and being an educator as a profession, the words cut deep and savage. How could i Trust anyone of that nature to educate the future of our country? would he teach them the wrong moral values that as long as you are concern it's every man for himself? Haven't he heard of gastics pain?? or is he too numb to even realise that many of us are taking gastric pills and praying hard that the only stall that sells food would still be open when we rush to the canteen, not like working adults but like a packs of hungry wolves trying to make that last order before the shutters come down?

We are working adults with committements to our family, our work and our school work. we are not 17s and 18s years old teeny boopers running around and trying to sail thru school... we are there to upgrade and better ourself. So don't punish us for not being able to live up to your Univesity Standards despite the fact that we are just only aiming for a diploma. Dun fault us for not having the LUXURY of time for us to abide by your rules and standards. BUT PLS cut us Some slack... WE NEED IT
